Clipping Ternary Plotter
About
This project aims at producing an ultimate ternary plotting solution.
Although ternary plotters are available, I know of no open-source specific
program, that specializes in ternary plotting.
This program is tailored specifically for ternary phase diagrams used in
crystalography, but may readily be used for general-purpose ternary diagram
plotting.
Features
Currently, TerPlot is just an engine. This means you can download a demo,
but it only draws hard-coded data.
However, the engine is built in a way highly customizable :
- Almost every element of the diagram has its own graphical
characteristics; this means that you can choose line width,
color, dashin-style and so on, for almost any element, seperately.
- Multiple styles: none/vertical/parallel/perpendicular for labels of
percentage.
- Customizable formatting-strings for labels of percentage.
- An extensible interface to draw data bullets, again, with controlled
colors and styles.
Plans
[ DONE ! ]
Translating to C++, using the excellent (free) Borland Turbo C++ Explorer IDE
(highly recommended; it builds projects so fast I uninstalled Visual Studio Express)
- Building an interactive user-interface.
- Exporting to SVG, PNG, BMP, JPG, EMF.
- Inter-process communication abilities.
